Why Join Us?
Our Ladies Night sessions are by far one of our most popular. The aim of the session is for an accessible laid back fun evening to let your hair down. This session is open to anyone willing to give it a go, especially for those of you that wouldn’t think that you could. Paddle sports are a fun, low impact exercise, you do not require a good level of fitness or skill, you just need to be willing to give it a shot.
The evening consists of a slow start getting ready into a choice of equipment suitable for the craft that you would like to try. For kayaking you can get away with good thermals under our provided Waterproofs (or a wet suit if you prefer). If you choose to have a go at Stand Up Paddle Boarding you will need to wear one of our wet suits (we have plenty of sizes to fit everyone, we promise!). We can also give you a set of our full waterproofs to go over the top. If you would like the option of swapping craft with someone whilst on the session (this often happens!) then play it safe and go with a Wet Suit. Other then that, all you need is a pair of shoes or water shoes to wear in the water, a swimming costume and towel.
On the water
Once we are kitted up, those of you that have been with us before can hop straight on with clear boundaries given by us. and those of you that are new to the center will get a full safety briefing and some tuition to get you started before you get on to join the rest of the group. Followed by on the water support throughout your first session.
We then go for a lovely paddle around the Harbour together, enjoying the giggles, supporting each other and de-stressing for the week ahead!!
We do accept younger ladies from age 14, as long as they are accompanied by an adult. There is absolutely no upper age limit, you just need to be willing to give it a go.
The Cost is £15 per person. We only have a limited number of spaces available per week and these sessions do fill quickly. It is best to book early to avoid disappointment.
At the time of booking we will ask what your preferred craft would be for your session. We will endeavour to get you on the water on your chosen craft but occasionally we may not be able to for safety concerns, e.g. very high winds. If this is the case then the Adventure Access team will be in contact to discuss your activity.
