SUP OR KAYAK EXPERIENCE
Want to give Kayaking or Stand Up Paddleboarding a try? This is the perfect way to test the waters and see if it’s for you!
In this 90-minute session, you’ll get out on the water and have plenty of fun while learning the basics. These taster sessions take place at Seaham Harbour Marina and are ideal for beginners, but our instructors are on hand to offer tips for those looking to refine their skills.
These sessions are open to anyone aged 8 and over – whether you’re an adult or a child, you’re sure to enjoy every minute!
Children aged 6-7 can join too, they just need to go on a double kayak or SUP with a parent or guardian.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
- Swimwear to wear underneath the wetsuit we will provide
- Closed-toe footwear that you don’t mind getting wet (e.g. old trainers or wetsuit boots)
- A towel and a change of clothes for after the session
We will provide all of the necessary paddling and safety equipment.
WHAT DO YOU PROVIDE?
- A qualified instructor
- Paddleboards, kayaks and paddles
- Wetsuits and all of the required safety equipment
DO YOU HAVE CHANGING FACILITIES?
Yes, we have indoor changing facilities with hot showers and toilets on site. Please note, that our changing rooms are small and can fill up quickly during busy sessions. We advise customers to arrive with their swimwear on under their clothing ready to put on a wetsuit. We also suggest you bring a large towel to change in the car park after the activity if required.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
You should aim to arrive around 10 – 15 mins before the activity is due to start. You will receive a confirmation email after completing your booking detailing any specific arrival information.
